Membership Acceptance

Cross-Border Counsel Alliance

Dear ,

I am delighted to confirm that your application for membership of the Cross-Border Counsel Alliance (CBCA) has been approved.

Membership of the Alliance is offered only after careful consideration of each applicant's professional standing, cross-border expertise, and the extent to which they complement the existing membership. Your experience and practice have been recognised as making a valuable contribution to our international community of specialist practitioners.

It is therefore my pleasure to welcome you to the Cross-Border Counsel Alliance.

Kindest regards,

You are here at the beginning

Founding Member status recognises the practitioners who shape the Alliance in its first year. It is held through continued membership and active participation.

01

Founding Member standing

Your profile, directory listing and CBCA badge carry the Founding Member designation while you remain an active member in good standing. However large the Alliance becomes, there will only ever be one original cohort.

02

Founding Member certificate

An official Founding Member certificate and mark of membership, issued in both physical and digital form, for display in your offices and across your firm's channels.

03

A voice in how CBCA develops

Founders sit on the annual Founding Members Council, shaping the Alliance's direction, standards and priorities.

04

First mover protection

Your specialist seat is protected for as long as you remain a member in good standing, increasingly valuable as the limited seat network fills.

05

Priority visibility

Founders are featured prominently across the CBCA website, launches, reports, events and communications.

06

Priority opportunities

First invitation to speaking slots, panels, roundtables, publications and international delegations.

07

Founder introductions

We make strategic introductions between founders directly, rather than leaving you to search a directory.

08

Preferential economics

Your annual membership fee is held at the founding rate for one year, and the one time joining fee does not apply to the founding cohort.

The Alliance

A network built one seat at a time

Members are admitted jurisdiction by jurisdiction, across Europe, the Americas, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. A selection of the jurisdictions represented across the Alliance is shown below.

Purpose

A curated global network of specialist cross-border lawyers

CBCA, the Cross-Border Counsel Alliance, is built around one simple idea: when a client needs counsel in another jurisdiction, you should already know exactly who to call.

We select a limited number of high quality, independent specialists in each jurisdiction, so members have trusted counsel across borders without relying on directories or ad hoc recommendations. Members actively refer work to one another and collaborate as co counsel, allowing firms to stay close to their client relationships while extending their international capabilities.

Ultimately, CBCA gives independent firms the reach and relationships of an international network while preserving their independence, and turns cross-border referrals into a structured, reciprocal pipeline rather than something left to chance.
